NSERC USRA

The Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Undergraduate Student Research Award (USRA) is a competitive federal award aimed to supplement, financially, research experience at the Undergraduate level.

Field of Research: Condensed Matter Physics/Many-Body Quantum Mechanics.

Governor General's Academic Medal

For nearly 150 years, the Governor General’s Academic Medals have recognized the outstanding scholastic achievements of students in Canada. They are awarded to the student graduating with the highest average from a high school, as well as from approved college or university programs. [...] Today, the Governor General’s Academic Medals are awarded at four distinct levels: Bronze at the secondary school level; Collegiate Bronze at the post-secondary, diploma level; Silver at the undergraduate level; and Gold at the graduate level.

UNBC Scholars Scholarship

The UNBC Scholars program recognizes grade 11 students in Northern BC and Yukon for outstanding academic achievement.

The scholarship is awarded by the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC) to the student with the highest grade point average in grade 11 and pays for 120 credit hours, consequently being worth twenty-three-and-a-half thousand Canadian dollars.

BC Achievement Scholarship

As stated in the attached certificate, this scholarship is awarded to 8000 graduating students by the British Columbia Ministry of Education and Child Care to students that graduate with above-average GPAs.

Lions Club Academic Leadership Award

This award is presented to a student that has demonstrated considerable academic achievement as well as shown a dedication to community leadership and service. This award also represents the highest academic award at the issuing institution. 

Top Grade 12 Student Award

This award is presented to the student with the highest grade point average in grade 12.

Math Award

This award is presented to the student with the highest grade in Calculus 12 and shows good problem-solving skills within the context of mathematics. 

School District 57 Recognition Scholarship

This award is presented by the School District 57 Awards Committee to graduating students who have performed well academically.  

Top Grade 11 Student Award

This award is presented to the student with the highest grade point average in grade 11.

Top Grade 8 Student Award

This award is presented to the student with the highest grade point average in grade 8.

Excellent Work Habits Award (x2)

This award is presented to students that put exceptionally effort into their coursework, producing work that exceeds the minimum expectations set out by the instructors.

Principles List Award (x2)

Presented to students that attain an ‘A’ grade in all their classes, with no more than one ‘B’ grade; later replaced by the Excellent Work Habits Award.

Academic Achievement Award | Top Second Language (French 11)

This award is presented to the student that achieves the best result in the course French 11 (taken as a second language). The recipient is chosen based on their ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend the French language. 

Academic Achievement Award | Creative Excellence in Visual Art

This award was presented in grade 8 for excellence in visual-art-based courses.Â
